Once you have successfully finished studying your degree programme, you may consider returning to your home country and starting a career there. The Centre for International Migration and Development (Centrum für Internationale Migration und Entwicklung CIM) offers (financial) support for graduates returning to or interested in working in one of the following countries:

Afghanistan, Bolivia, Brasil, Cameroon, Chile, China, Columbia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Marocco, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Syria, Tunesia, Turkey, Vietnam as well as people returning to Palastine.

  • How can CIM support graduates?

CIM offers information workshops and country seminars as well as individual counselling regarding career planning as well as looking for work. This support is offered in Germany and in the above-mentioned countries.

CIM places the applicants in a database and sets up contacts to state and private companies, NGOs and institutions.

  • Financial support

Graduates can apply for financial support before they return home or move to one of the above countries. Financial support is offered to help cover the costs of flights (also for partners and children) as well as transport costs.

It is also possible in some cases to get an allowance towards salary costs for 6 to 24 months.
