International Business - International Guest Students

The dynamics of business have rarely been as strong as at present: global competition determines the markets, while goods, services and information are exchanged via world-wide networks. Hamburg is one of the most dynamic business centres in Europe and is home to many international companies. It is an international port and Asia's gateway to Europe. It is also the third largest centre for civil aviation after Seattle and Toulouse and Airbus is a major business engine for the city.

The Department of Business prepares its students for a global economy and offers the following modules in English:

  • International Marketing
  • International Finance
  • International Trade
  • International Logistics
  • International Economic Law
  • International Economics
  • International Human Resource Management
  • International Management Seminar

Working successfully in an international environment also requires excellent intercultural soft skills. The »International Management« programme offers a special focus in the field of cultural and social sciences from a business perspective:

  • Country Studies / Country Analysis
  • Intercultural Communication & Competence
  • Intercultural Interaction
  • Project Work & Intercultural Project Management

All modules are in English. International guest students can put together a semester programme from the above modules. Information about the modules can be found in the module handbook.
