Undergraduate programmes
Hamburg University of Applied Sciences' trademark is its emphasis on applied knowledge. Course projects and internships are a compulsory part of the academic degree programmes and the Bachelor thesis is often completed in industry. The Bachelor programmes are 6 or 7 semesters in length and lead to the academic qualifications Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Arts.
Hamburg University of Applied Sciences has four faculties in which foreign students can study a wide variety of degree programmes [see list below]. If the programme has a German name, please apply using the German name, otherwise use the English name. Please note: English degree names do not necessarily mean that the programme is in English. If the programme is in English or has English modules it will be stated with the degree programme name.
