Kurzbiografie
Christian Decker is professor of Foreign Trade & International Management (AIM) at the HAW Hamburg with a focus on international finance and trade.
Previously, he spent ten years within the corporate & investment banking division of a large German bank. He focused on the development of regulatory, economic and/or liquidity-driven securitisation solutions (synthetic, cash) with respect to portfolios originated by the bank or third parties (asset backed securities, collateralised debt obligations, mortgage backed securities) as well as securitisation-based business models. Prior to that he was involved in the arranging and underwriting of national and international project and acquisition finance transactions in various sectors (e.g. industrial plants, power, telecommunication, traffic infrastructure and oil & gas) and regions (Europe, Asia, America, Australia).
He started his professional career in the corporate finance department of a Big Four auditing firm, where he worked three years as consultant and evaluator.
Christian Decker graduated with a degree in Business Administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) from the University of Hamburg and received his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) from the University of Bremen, Institute for World Economics and International Management (IWIM).
