Bachelor Degrees
Hamburg University of Applied Sciences' trademark is its emphasis on applied knowledge. Our Bachelor degrees are generally 7 semesters in length - six semesters of theory plus a compulsory semester in industrial placement. Course projects and lab work are a compulsory part of the academic degree programmes and the Bachelor thesis is often also completed in industry. The undergraduate degrees lead to the academic qualifications Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Arts.

Inter-university degrees:
Industrial Engineering - offered jointly by the HAW Hamburg and the University of Hamburg
Dual degrees:
Nursing - study and work degree in cooperation with the Albertinen Hospital
Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Information & Electrical Engineering, and the three degrees in Mechanical Engineering & Production Management can also be completed as a dual degree with a company in industry.
Public Management - a programme in cooperation with the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, preparing graduates for the public sector
