Erasmus Exchange / Study Abroad Students
Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) has a large network of partner universities worldwide which enables student exchange within the Erasmus Programme as well as with overseas partners. We also have a small number of places for freemovers. So, if you are an international student and would like to get a study abroad experience at a German university why not join our international guest students and spend a semester or two in Hamburg.
We offer a wide range of interesting programmes in engineering, life sciences, business, computer science, design, media and social sciences. A small number of these programmes have classes in English, so language does not have to be a barrier.
»It was only here that I realised what I was really interested in.« - Albert Thure, USA more
Hamburg - City on the water
In the North of Germany, in the heart of Europe - Hamburg is Germany's second largest city (1.8 million inhabitants) and offers excellent quality of life and international flair. If you like to spend your leisure time out of doors, you will love Europe's »greenest« city with its large lake and numerous parks in the centre of town. You will also find culture in all its variations as demands a major city - theatre, museums, exhibitions as well as music in concerts or in clubs. Hamburg is an international harbour city and a great place to live and study. Make it your gateway to the world.
»Germany has been and continues to be an absolutely incredible place to meet new people and absorb the culture and history within Europe.« - Clemens Wan, USA
