We are pleased to invite you to the fifth edition of the GreenGardens Webinar Series, a series of free online events exploring approaches to climate change adaptation in agriculture and agroforestry. 

This fifth edition, taking place on June 17th, 2026, will focus on Agriculture, water stress and adaptation solutions. The event will be held in English, and will provide a space for exchange between practitioners, researchers, teaching staff, and members of local cooperatives involved in the project.

The webinar is organised by the NFRF and DFG funded project "Shared Gardens for Climate Change Adaptation (Jardins adaptés au climat)" www.umoncton.ca/jardins-climat/en, in cooperation with the International Climate Change Information and Research Programme (ICCIRP), the European Academic Network for Capacity Development in Climate Change Adaptations in Africa (NetCDA) and the Interdisciplinary Expert Centre on Climate Change and Health (IECCCH).

This presentation explores the climate challenges faced by the six agricultural cooperatives of the Green Gardens project, including water scarcity, torrential rains, and flooding. The specific contexts of the Canadian, Beninese, and Moroccan cooperatives are briefly presented, along with their adaptation needs to water-related climate events. A discussion follows on various solutions proposed after using ideation tools within the Green Gardens project: Mentimeter webinars, an interactive Facebook group, serious games and formal presentations by researchers. Diverse possible solutions for managing heavy rainfall and drought will be presented.
