Each faculty has a Student Exchange Coordinator who coordinates and organises student mobility. They advise HAW Hamburg students (outgoings) on the international university partnerships and the opportunities to spend a semester abroad. They are also the first point-of-contact for international guest students (incomings), guiding them from their nomination, through their questions about the exchange semester at HAW Hamburg, to their integration into the faculty.

The coodinators are the main contact for their faculty's university partnerships. They coordinate and maintain ERASMUS cooperations for the departments. They are in close dialogue with the dean or the vice dean responsible for international affairs, as well as the International Office.
