Language courses currently on offer at HAW Hamburg

HAW Hamburg has commissioned Hamburg’s main adult and community education provider, Hamburger Volkshochschule (VHS), to run language courses for beginning and more advanced learners. These courses usually take place at our Berliner Tor campus. We are currently able to offer courses in up to eight languages. The courses generally run in weekly sessions during the semester and consist of either 30 or 45 teaching units (Unterrichtseinheiten, UE) of 45 minutes each. One weekly session usually comprises two or three teaching units and therefore lasts 90 or 135 minutes. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, all language courses are being offered online via ZOOM.

The courses start in the first week of November and run until the end of January 2021. Each course consists of 11 sessions plus an extra session with materials on the VHS’s online study platform, Sprachcommsy.
