On 1 and 2 October 2026, the HAW Research Days 2026 will take place in the Aula at Berliner Tor 21 and other seminar rooms. We would like to extend a warm invitation to everyone at HAW Hamburg with an interest in research. Please make a note of the dates in your diary now.
The HAW Research Days have emerged from an initiative by our new Research School and are intended to take place once a year to raise the profile of research and doctoral studies at HAW Hamburg. They offer an opportunity to engage in discussion, network and jointly explore current topics relating to doctoral studies, research and knowledge transfer.
The programme is aimed at researchers, lecturers, PhD candidates, those interested in pursuing a PhD, supervisors and those interested in supervising, members of the Research and Transfer Centres (FTZ), Competence Centres (CC) and faculties, as well as all colleagues interested in research and academic networking.
Planned events include:
- a research fair featuring contributions from PhD candidates, students, CCs, FTZs, research groups, individual researchers and external partners,
- poster and three-minute presentations by PhD candidates from HAW Hamburg,
- networking sessions with internal and external research institutions,
- short workshops on topics including impact, storytelling and career paths,
- a one-day workshop organised by the Research and Transfer Committee,
- presentations and meetings of the CEADS, ISGF and STS PhD programmes,
