weBuddy programme for international freshmen

The first weeks in a foreign country and at a new university can be difficult and lonely. With our weBuddy programme we welcome our new international students and support them at the start of their studies in Hamburg.

The weBuddy programme is a combination of "First Aid", orientation and developing an international network of friends. Each freshman gets a HAW Hamburg student, who will help you with your questions about living and studying in Hamburg. Your weBuddy is your first friend at the HAW Hamburg and will make sure that you get off to a good start.

As part of the weBuddy programme there is a a Hamburg Welcome Week with a Meet & Greet session, a Hamburg orientation programme and a welcome dinner. This will help you get to know the city and the other new international students. During the semester there will also be regular events to ensure that this group becomes good friends. On our facebook page (click on the photo) you can find pictures of the weBuddy programme, get information about scholarships and lots of other interesting information about things that are happening in Hamburg and the university. In the weBuddy facebook group you will be updated about semester events, you can share information, ask questions and network with other HAW Hamburg students. Join us!
