CC4E – Competence Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

As a point of contact for companies and government agencies the HAW Hamburg's CC4E brings people together to find solutions for the diverse challenges of the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency. Cross-faculty cooperation between engineering, natural sciences, business, social sciences and media enables an interdisciplinary approach. It organises symposia and roundtables for industry and research exchange and enables young researchers and students to be involved in company research projects.

Tecnology Center Energy-Campus Hamburg

CC4E's current main project is to build a Technology Centre on the new Energy-Campus Hamburg. The Energy-Campus will focus on wind energy and the interdisciplinary research fields of smart grids and demand-side integration as well as energy storage. The 7.3 million Euro Technology Centre will include a wind lab and a smart grid/demand-side integration lab. A future wind farm will provide the energy basis for the growing Energy-Campus. It will also be a location for companies operating in the field of renewable energies and will create potentials for research and technological innovation.

Please contact CC4E for more information about the renewable energies and energy efficiency research projects at the HAW Hamburg or if you are looking for a research partner. Contact details to the research groups can be found under the link below.
