"My favourite class was “Applied Hydrobiology”. It was very practical. We did a few excursions in Hamburg, for example to the “Düne” of Bergedorf and the coal power plant of Harburg and we had some speakers from industry who talked about their jobs. We were always in small groups in class and I also got to work with German students. The professors were very approachable and there was always a good atmosphere in the lectures."
