Creating knowledge to drive change in healthcare

We are pioneers in increasing the academic profile of the nursing and healthcare fields. Through research and teaching, we are making a valuable contribution to developing solutions to the structural and qualitative challenges of healthcare provision. Our students obtain sound, practice-oriented education and training.
Our focus is on the individual. This applies equally to our over 400 students and to their professional practice. Our professors and academic staff maintain close contact with our students, in an exchange characterised by proximity to everyday professional life, personal interaction and individual support. Our high level of research expertise and our practice-oriented teaching and learning concepts ensure that our graduates have excellent career perspectives in modern and innovative healthcare.

We offer the most diverse range of healthcare-related degree courses in northern Germany. Those at the beginning of their careers can complete a cooperative degree programme. Experienced professionals from nursing, therapeutic occupations and midwifery can complete additional training and specialise. Managers can develop their leadership and management skills.
