On 16 October the pop-up study space at Berliner Tor 5 (seventh floor) will open again. In winter semester 2023/24 it will be home to a large number of indvidual and group study spaces, as well as a small lounge area.
All of the journals from the Business, Engineering and Computer Science (TWI) Library are located on the eighth floor.
We are continuing to work on the BibLeo project, which has been delayed due to timing and organisational issues.
Ideas for the study space, which will be developed on an ongoing basis, can be sent to library staff via fbtwi_info (at) haw-hamburg (dot) de. Please note that the library materials will remain permanently at the TWI Library at Berliner Tor 7.

Borrowing and returns during periods without loan desk service
There are certain times when the libraries do not provide any loan desk services but remain open to students. During these opening hours you can work, read and do research in our libraries. It is also possible to borrow and return items.

Automated returns | All of the HAW Hamburg libraries have automated returns shelves, which automatically record the returns when books are placed in them. Most items are then immediately available for borrowing again. |
| Returns bins | It is possible to return items via the returns bins – even when the libraries are closed:
Please note that the return is not recorded in the system until the next day the library is open. This date is considered the return date. Immediate borrowing of the item or the payment of fees is not possible. |
