VDFAS – Helping students in need

International students who complete a degree course here in Germany are vital to the economies of their home countries, as well as being sought after on the German job market. They also serve as ambassadors for Germany in general and their host institutions in particular, spreading the word back home about their experiences.

We at HAW Hamburg value our international students and the expertise and fresh, cultural influences they contribute to lectures and seminars. They give our campus an international feel that we greatly appreciate and wouldn’t want to be without. International students forge friendships with their fellow students from Germany, but many German students and professors are unaware of just how hard it can be to study as an international student.
