Research

Universities of applied sciences don't conduct research? Far from it! Here's an overview of our research projects.

At the competence centres, academics from the university's four faculties conduct interdisciplinary research on important future-oriented topics.

Our faculty is also currently home to four research and transfer centres. Here, researchers work together with students and companies on current issues and questions. The special feature: interdisciplinary collaboration.

With its Room for Research, the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science has created a setting tailored to doctoral students. They can conduct research, network and move their ideas forward efficiently and effectively.

There are also numerous research groups within our faculty. They are located in the individual departments. The individual researchers make important contributions in the area of applied practice-based research and development at HAW Hamburg.

Linking research and teaching means working with students to transform innovative knowledge from our own research into applications for the future.
