Degree course advising for Bachelor's students

The degree course advisors provide advising on both general and specific questions related to the following topics:

  • Order/progression of courses within the specific degree course
  • Difficulties with continuing your studies
  • Exceeding the standard period of study
  • Information on study options, degree courses and the related areas of work
  • Transcript of records pursuant to Section 48 of BAföG (the law on student financial aid)

If you have transfered from another university or degree course, the degree course advisors are responsible for assessing and recognising credit points and failed attempts and determining which level you are assigned to in the new degree course (following enrolment at the university). This requires that you submit all certificates and transcripts (original documents) from your previous course.
