The Faculty of Design, Media and Information has countless contacts across the globe and aims to continually expand its international partnerships and its support for study abroad.
We believe that HAW Hamburg students should be optimally prepared for a professional world that thinks and acts globally. Study stays abroad and international partnerships are systematically anchored in the teaching and practice of the Department of Design, Media and Information. Internationalisation is increasingly the new normal. Students who spend time abroad during their studies don't just enhance their degree with additional subject-related input – they also make exciting new contacts and expand their cultural horizons on an almost daily basis.
If you are planning a semester abroad, your first step should be to arrange an advising session with the student exchange coordinator.
Student exchange coordinator – Faculty of Design, Media and Information
Responsibilities

The student exchange coordinator provides individual advising and helps students plan all of the steps necessary for completing a semester abroad. They also offer regular information events where they inform interested students about the details of applying to HAW Hamburg's partner universities.
The student exchange coordinator also provides support to visiting international students during their stay at HAW Hamburg.
