New Research initiative on  SDG13 (Climate Action)

The Climate Change and SDG 13 Academic Research and Publications Initiative (CC-SDG13-ARPI)

On Monday, 1st February 2021, the Research and Transfer Centre "Sustainable Development and Climate Change Management"(FTZ-NK) and the International Climate Change Information and Research Programme (ICCIRP)  will launch a major effort to promote and disseminate the results of scholarly research on matters related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a focus on SDG13 (Climate Action). Titled  "Climate Change and SDG 13 Academic Research and Publications Initiative"
(CC-SDG13-RPI), it is aimed at filling in the gap on peer-reviewed papers, written by international, interdisciplinary teams addressing SDG13, and published in high calibre journals. CC-SDG13-ARPI complements the impulse provided by highly successful "Handbook of Climate Change Adapatation" (4 volumes),Handbook of Climate Change Communication (3 volumes) and "Handbook of Climate Change Resilience" (4 volumes),  which are comprehensive editorial projects on climate change adaptation.

The FTZ-NK and ICCIRP teams will design the research and conceive the papers on SDG13, and will contact the colleagues who registered, with an invitation to join. Interested colleagues will be informed about the planned papers, their scope and methods, and may reflect if they are able to make a contribution. Those who do, may provide specific inputs and be listed as co-authors. Since the chosen journals will all be fully indexed and with an impact factor, the time here is well invested.

CC-SDG13-ARPI represents a good opportunity for both, personal and professional development, and also serves the purposes of enlarging one´s international network of contacts. Participation at CC-SDG13-ARPI entails no costs, but colleagues joining should be willing to invest the time needed in the team efforts to produce quality publications, which will advance the state of knowledge on the links between climate change and sustainable development research.

Members of academic staff from across all areas (e.g. social science, natural sciences, engineering, etc) interested to join this unique effort, should contact the ICCIRP team at: info (at) iccip (dot) net, with the following details:
