Digital Learning for Sustainability (DL4SD)

Today, online learning is a key means of reaching out to learners beyond an institution’s own boundaries, internationalising the learning experience for the institution’s own members and enriching learning processes through web-based collaboration within a larger, often interdisciplinary learning community.

In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which seeks to ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning, HAW Hamburg’s Sustainability and Climate Change Management Research and Transfer Centre (FTZ-NK) actively fosters education for sustainability across themes and borders. Promoting sustainable practices and offering access to state-of-the-art knowledge is a distinctive feature of the online projects developed by the FTZ-NK.

The e-learning offers found on the learning platform seek to address the chronic human capacity problem that constrains the quicker uptake of sustainability knowledge and related skills in many parts of the globe, and to contribute to building multi-stakeholder learning communities and partnerships.
