Strategic partnerships in the USA

As part of its 'HAW goes USA 2020' strategy HAW Hamburg defined four of its twelve USA university cooperations as strategic partnerships. In addition to regular student exchange, each university cooperation has a particular focus to strengthen and deepen the collaboration.

The partnerships with Virginia Tech (aeronautical engineering), CSULB (Film) as well as MICA (Design) are currently recognised as strategic university partnerships and receive funding through the ISAP Programme from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The cooperation with the University of Rhode Island also received funding from the DAAD from 2011-2017. Click on the university logos to learn more.

HAW Hamburg has a double degree programme with URI in International Business.

The strategic focus with Virginia Tech is the field of aeronautical engineering.

The CSULB cooperation focuses on summer schools, workshops and faculty exchange.

The cooperation focuses on the professional practice that characterises MICA's curriculum.
