The nursing and therapy professions are undergoing a period of change. Societal challenges, such as demographic change and the ongoing shortage of skilled workers in the healthcare sector, as well as structural changes, are posing growing challenges to the healthcare professions.
These developments also have a direct impact on the requirements placed on teachers in therapy and nursing training, and there is an urgent need for academically qualified teachers. The Master’s programme ‘Postgraduate Programme in Nursing and Therapy Science for Teaching at Vocational Schools (M.Ed.)’ provides teachers with targeted and academically sound preparation for their demanding tasks in initial and continuing education.
The programme consists of two sub-programmes run in cooperation between HAW Hamburg and the University of Hamburg.
The programme starts annually in the winter semester.
