Since 1 October 2025, the Examinations Office has been responsible for matters relating to examinations and certificates at all three campuses: Berliner Tor, Bergedorf and Finkenau.
The Examinations Office, together with the Academic Offices at the new faculties, has thus replaced the Faculty Service Offices (FSBs) of the former four faculties.

- Advice on examinations, registration and withdrawal deadlines, and de-registrations
Examination matters
- Applications and registration for the recognition of credits
- Certificates of achievement (accessible via myHAW)
- Petitions in the event of being unable to sit an examination / sick note
- Issuing of graduation documents (transcripts, certificates, etc.)
Final theses
- Registration and submission of final theses
- Application for extension of final theses and changes to thesis titles
Individual applications
- Advice on individual applications (e.g. compensation for disadvantages, cases of hardship)
