Understanding, using and experiencing digitalisation, promoting knowledge and skills for digitalisation

HAW Hamburg aims to actively shape the digital transformation process. This means accompanying the changes and processes associated with digitalisation from an academic perspective, addressing the opportunities and risks in our teaching and research. This happens in many different ways and the following pages show a selection of activities, measueres and projects.

In digitalisation for teaching and study students benefit from digital processes and offers along the student life cycle and especially in teaching students benefit through the use of digital teaching, learning and examination formats and tools. We support our students in acquiring both digital skills and the competencies necessary for the digital transformation. Digitalisation is not only a multi-faceted learning subject in teaching - also in research HAW Hamburg is working on questions of digitalisation (e.g. artificial intelligence) in an application-oriented and practical way. And finally, HAW Hamburg is digitising university administration processes with the goals of process optimisation, more transparency, increased efficiency and relief. A modern and powerful IT infrastructure and the accompanying support are requirements for teaching, learning, study, research and administrative work. Through the ongoing development of its internal processes, digital infrastructure and IT services, HAW Hamburg is adapting its IT landscape to meet the demands and needs in the areas of studies, teaching, research and continuing development.
