International Affairs
The Faculty of Aviation and Automotive Systems promotes international exchange in academic studies, teaching, and research, and warmly welcomes students from all over the world.
As a student at the faculty, you can spend one or two semesters at one of our partner universities worldwide, complete an internship abroad, or join a short-term program such as a summer school.
International students can choose from a wide range of German- and English-language courses that can be taken as part of an exchange semester or year.
In addition to numerous collaborations across Europe, including in Paris, Valencia, and Barcelona, the Faculty also maintains close partnerships with universities worldwide, including Virginia Tech in the U.S. and several universities in Vietnam.

If you are studying at one of our partner universities abroad, you have the opportunity to spend an exchange semester or year with us. In our faculty, you can take courses in German as well as in English in the fields of Aeronautical Engineering and Automotive Engineering.

The Faculty of Aviation and Automotive Systems has partnerships with universities around the world. In the HAW Hamburg database of partner universities, you can find both ERASMUS universities and overseas partners.
Important Note: Please note that the database lists all potential partner universities. Unfortunately, this does not mean that you can always study at every partner university listed for your faculty. This may be because the cooperation agreement applies only to certain degree programs, or because your degree program is not offered at the partner university. Check the overseas partner profiles and the ERASMUS program, and then speak with your Student Exchange Coordinator.
