The European-North American Sustainability Research Consortium (ENASRC)
The “Transatlantic Symposium on Sustainable Development: North American and European Perspectives on Sustainability in Higher Education”, held at MIT in October 2023, has shown the need for an infrastructure to mobilise joint European and North American researchers working on matters related to sustainable development.
The European-North American Sustainability Research Consortium (ENASRC) is an attempt to address this need, building on the success of the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR),Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme (IUSDRP) and the UK Consortium on Sustainability Research (UK-CSR), but with a focus on North America-European relations.

Aims
................................................................................................................................................................................................
The primary objective of the Consortium is to foster cooperation between North American and European scientists and organisations on matters related to sustainable development. This also includes cooperation with countries from other regions. A further objective of the Consortium is to contribute to a greater dialogue between members, by organising joint events and engaging in scholarly research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
The Consortium is truly transdisciplinary and accommodates all aspects of sustainability and associated themes (e.g. climate change, energy, ethics, poverty, gender, etc) catering to a wide thematic basis.
