All members of the HAW (students, teaching staff) can book various group study rooms online via the Anny room booking platform at four HIBS locations – the Alexanderstraße, Bergedorf and Finkenau campus libraries, as well as in the HIBS Learning Centre:

• To do this, you will need to log in via HAW Hamburg’s Single Sign-On (SSO) service. If you have not yet used the SSO service, you will need to set it up first!
• You can now log in to the booking page at any time using your HAW ID, select a group study room and a time slot, confirm the number of people (a minimum of 2 or 3 people is required, depending on the room) and submit your booking! Your booking will be confirmed by email.

For all online bookings of group study rooms in the HAW campus libraries, you must check in on site:

• You must check in within 15 minutes of the start of the booking period; otherwise, the room will automatically be made available for booking again in the booking system.
• If you book several time slots on the same day: Please remember to check in for each individual time slot, even if the booked time slots follow on immediately from one another.

Once your booked time slot has expired, you will be automatically checked out. However, please do check out manually if you leave the room before your time slot expires, so that it can be made available for booking again.

• The maximum duration of use is 4 hours.
• Up to 5 bookings are permitted per week; a maximum of one booking per day is permitted for each room.
• Bookings can be made up to 14 days in advance.
• Reservations that have not been checked in will expire 15 minutes after the start of the reserved time slot; please note the instructions in the booking system.
• Larger group rooms may only be used by groups of three or more people, while smaller rooms may be used by groups of two or more people. Please refer to the relevant room description when booking.
• Bookings are only available to members of HAW Hamburg and cannot be transferred or made on behalf of third parties.

• You can cancel your booking yourself at any time.
• In extreme emergencies, for example if the library has to close due to staff shortages or other reasons, or if opening hours change, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. In this case, you will receive an automated email from us; unfortunately, for technical reasons, the reason for the cancellation cannot be included in this email.
