Workspaces for start-ups at HAW Hamburg
If you are given the opportunity to use one of our start-up workspaces to develop your idea, the HAW Hamburg Start-ups Service will provide you with especially intensive assistance during the pre-founding phase.
You will receive individualised support in your start-up process and can share experiences and information with other start-up founders.
We maintain a waiting list for rooms. When space becomes available we will consult with you about whether your idea is a good fit for further development in our workspaces.
Prerequisites

- You are enrolled at HAW Hamburg or a registered alumni.
- You've attended an initial Start-ups Service consultation session.
- You've written a brief description of your idea (max. 2 DIN A4 pages).
- You've developed a 12-month project/milestone plan (planned activities).
- You have a professor or academic staff member as a mentor.
- The company has not been officially founded (UG, GmbH or other public company) and/or entered in the commercial register.
- Students and alumni are not automatically entitled to the use of a start-up workspace.
Co-working space
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current events surrounding Covid-19, the co-working space is unfortunately closed until further notice.
If you want a quiet place to work on your start-up idea, the Start-ups Service offers the possibility to use a desk in our co-working room on the seventh floor of the building at Alexanderstraße 1. Feel free to send us an email if you're interested.
These start-ups currently have a workspace in the Start-ups Service rooms.
