Frontrunner leadership training

The HAW Hamburg International Office is offering up to seven international students the opportunity to take part in a high-quality leadership programme offered by the non-governmental organisation Common Purpose. The programme will take place from 5 to 8 October 2020.

Frontrunner leadership training offered by Common Purpose.

Together with students from other universities, participants will have the chance to spend three days getting to know employers in the Hamburg region, strengthening their leadership skills, and exchanging ideas with decision-makers from politics, business, the arts and the social sector. These activities are intended to create networks between students and potential future employers. Through the discussion of current and concrete societal challenges using both case studies and interactive work in interdisciplinary teams and various group formats, the programme aims to encourage new ways of thinking and strengthen participants’ ability to deal productively with diversity.

The programme is intended for Bachelor’s and Master’s students from all HAW Hamburg faculties who are in the final phase of their studies, as well as HAW Hamburg graduates who have recently completed their studies and are starting their career. Strong German skills are necessary so that the students can get as much as possible out of the activities and discussions. HAW Hamburg students are not required to pay a fee to attend. The application process takes place through the HAW Hamburg’s International Office, not directly through Common Purpose. Those interested in attending need to apply online by 2 August 2020 and explain in a maximum of one page why they want to take part. They will be informed of the decision via email in mid-August.

Whether this year’s Frontrunner programme will take place as usual at different locations each day or will have a different format will be announced shortly before the start date.

You can find additional information and the application form on our website.
