The university is made up of eight so-called ‘schools’ distributed over three campuses around the city of Porto, which is located in northern Portugal. The schools are home to approximately 18,500 students, who can complete Bachelor’s studies in 56 degree courses and Master’s studies in 62 degree courses. The schools are also home to 24 research centres, which carry out application-oriented research on various topics. The European Master of Medical Technology and Healthcare Business (EMMaH) course has led to particularly intensive linkages between the HAW Hamburg Department of Biomedical Engineering and the P.PORTO School of Health (ESS). P.PORTO’s vision is to create and support knowledge, science, technology and culture and to teach its students technical, scientific, artistic and transversal skills so that they become agents of transformation both domestically and abroad and contribute to the intelligent development of society.

HAW Hamburg and the other CARPE partners HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Netherlands), Turku University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) and the University of Debrecen (Hungary) are pleased to welcome P.PORTO, another highly qualified university, to the network and to jointly expand cooperation in research and teaching.

You can find additional information about P.PORTO on the university webpage.
