The University of Standford, in the United States, in cooperation with Elsevier, has compiled a publicly available database of over 190,000 top-scientists that provides standardised information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. According to the 2021 database, Professor Walter Leal is among the top 2% scientists worldwide.
