X-Energy management

X-Energy management is the central element for the strategic orientation of the overall project. The focus is on networking internally and with the external project partners involved as well as the exploitation of the project results. The management serves the project-wide and cross-project, target-oriented control and coordination of the X-Energy project partnership, which consists of a total of 24 sub-projects.

Externally, the X-Energy management project pursues the exchange with external partners, increasing the visibility of the project initiative and the rapid market-oriented implementation of the researched technologies. At the interfaces, X-Energy management ensures that the necessary conditions and processes are in place to systematically transfer innovations to the market with a specific focus on the utilization of ideas in commercially successful products and services.

The X-Energy project partnership is being funded in two phases as part of the FH-Impuls program. In the first funding phase, clear responsibilities and processes were established in the project and existing structures at the CC4E of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) were used. In the intensification phase, these will be further expanded and new interfaces (e.g. to other CC4E research projects and partners) will be created. The aim is to sustainably expand and sharpen the research profile of HAW Hamburg together with the overall project management and sub-project managers. In addition, new research ideas are to be developed and systematically transferred into new research projects.

The main tasks of X-Energy management include quality assurance and the management and further development of structures in order to generate efficiency gains and ensure the quality of the partnership. Project monitoring is used to evaluate the success of the partnership and the individual projects in order to align them with the objectives. Increasing the visibility and presence of the partnership, expanding the network and ensuring the sustainable establishment of X-Energy is another important focus of work. Strengthening the transfer of knowledge and technology to ensure the rapid, market-oriented implementation of the project results achieved in the region and beyond is also fundamental. The management also supports the long-term financing of the research content via third-party funds and serves to attract new partner companies to strengthen and expand the partnership.

These management, organizational and control structures are intended to ensure the implementation and achievement of the strategic and operational goals of X-Energy as a whole (the partnership and its announced innovation profile), the project partners involved and the individual projects in the research focus areas.
