Your Journey
As a higher education institution, it is part of the CC4E’s core ethos that the application-oriented knowledge on technological, energy policy, economic and societal issues generated by its research projects is integrated into teaching. Degree programmes in the field of renewable energies benefit from close links with applied research and numerous transfer partnerships, enabling students to undertake final-year projects on practical topics.
Beyond that, there are opportunities to pursue a PhD – both through collaborative programmes and via the Research School at HAW Hamburg, which holds its own right to award doctorates in selected areas of excellence. The CC4E provides academic support for these qualification pathways, particularly within the Sustainable Transition Studies (STS) PhD programme. In addition, a wide range of continuing professional development courses focusing on the energy transition, sustainability and transformation processes is available.
