Professional Development

The CC4E considers it part of its responsibility not only to conduct research and provide information on the energy transition, but also to actively communicate knowledge to the wider public. Furthermore, an impending shortage of skilled workers could be seen as an obstacle to the successful implementation of the energy transition. To counteract this, the CC4E provides learning platforms that are freely accessible to all.
Education, digitalisation, climate action: Free learning resources on the energy transition:
Energiewende-Campus.de provides specialist information on the energy transition. The platform is primarily aimed at students and career changers who wish to expand their expertise in the field of renewable energy and are looking for an initial introduction to the subject. The learning portal shares training and further education opportunities covering topics such as climate change, public acceptance research, smart balancing, digital leadership and change management. In addition, the platform features numerous explanatory videos on the research-related and practice-oriented work carried out at the CC4E.
HowToChangeARunningSystem.info is aimed at younger, curious young people and adults—from high school students to those just starting their careers. The learning platform, licensed under Creative Commons, provides accessible and engaging background information on the climate crisis and the energy transition. Across five chapters—Climate Crisis, Energy Sources, Systemic Change, A Shift in Thinking, and Personal Initiative—the site uses videos, infographics, and short texts to tell the story of the energy transition in a way that inspires people to engage with the topic. This encourages individuals to take action on their own. The site also offers numerous opportunities to delve deeper into various aspects of the energy transition.
