The purpose of the Bachelor’s thesis is for students to demonstrate that they are capable of independently addressing a problem relevant to the programme’s learning outcomes using academic methods within a specified timeframe. The subject matter of the Bachelor’s thesis must relate predominantly to the chosen specialisation and, both in the choice of topic and in the approach taken, reflect the close link between theoretical and practical training.

Students who have completed 120 credits are eligible to undertake the Bachelor’s thesis. Application for admission to the Bachelor’s thesis must be made in writing to the Examination Board.

The Master’s thesis is a theoretical or empirical study presented in written form. In it, students are expected to demonstrate that they are capable of independently addressing a complex problem from the professional field relevant to their degree programme within a specified timeframe, applying academic methods and findings. Students are allocated a timeframe of 600 hours (20 credits) to complete the thesis. 120 hours (4 credits) are allocated to the third semester, and 480 hours (16 credits) to the fourth semester. The latter corresponds to 16 weeks’ work, assuming a weekly working time of 30 hours. The thesis should comprise 70 to 80 pages (1.5-line spacing) of plain text.

The standard processing time following receipt of the application is 24 weeks.
The exact deadlines are decided and announced by the Examination Board for each round.

• for Master’s theses in Multichannel Trade Management in Textile Business: 14 weeks
