Understanding the challenges of Climate Change, Migration and Sustainability: the contribution from African Universities

Thu, 4 Nov 2021, 11:00 am – 12:45 pm
Online Symposium

A joint initiative of Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and HAW Hamburg (Germany) in support of COP26, the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow

With progressing climate change, livelihoods are increasingly endangered by environmental changes. As a consequence, various impacts on migration and displacement have be observed by research. This compact event seeks to explore and share the research contributions of various African university networks as well as introduce a new HAW Hamburg-led competence centre on these interdisciplinary matters.

The Online symposium “Understanding the challenges of Climate Change, Migration and Sustainability: the contribution from African Universities” is organised by the Research and Transfer Centre “Sustainability and Climate change Management (FTZ-NK)” of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Participation in the event is free, all you need to do is register via the button on the right hand side – registration are open until 1 November 2021.
