UWS also joins CARPE network in 2020

In addition to P.PORTO, the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) has also recently become a member of the CARPE network. Many at HAW Hamburg are already familiar with UWS from several years of successful cooperation on numerous doctoral projects.

We are very pleased that – despite Brexit – UWS now wishes to expand its cooperation efforts as part of the CARPE network. Along with joint projects in research and teaching, the UWS’s participation will generate many opportunities for intensified cooperation in the areas of doctoral training and student/instructor exchanges.

CARPE is the first consortium of European applied science universities and a strategic alliance for applied research and career education. The CARPE partners work together to increase the quality of both their degree courses and their research. They contribute to regional development and help increase innovation in the European context.

The CARPE consortium was founded in 2011 by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, the Turku University of Applied Sciences and the Universitat Politècnica de València. Since then the network has continued to develop.
