This coming summer semester, HAW Hamburg is once again offering its students the chance to take part in a free Vietnamese course, run in cooperation with VHS Hamburg and taking place online every week during the teaching semester. The courses will be taught in German and are open to students from all degree courses at HAW Hamburg.
We are able to offer these courses thanks to the HaMoNee – Hamburg / Hanoi Mobile Engineers project, which aims to support exchanges and cooperation between HAW Hamburg and higher education institutions in Vietnam and between industrial businesses in Vietnam and Germany. In addition to funding language courses, the project focuses on promoting student exchanges between HAW Hamburg and its Vietnamese partner institutions, thus enabling students to gain industrial experience in a business in the other country. HAW Hamburg students have their tuition fees in Vietnam waived for their exchange semester and have the opportunity to apply for a full scholarship. Applications for places on the exchange scheme for stays from summer semester 2023 onward are scheduled to open in May 2022.

The registration form will ask you to enter your bank details. The courses are free of charge, so you will not need to pay anything. Please enter any letters/numbers (that cannot be a real bank account number or BIC code – e.g. a series of zeros) as placeholders.
Places on the course are limited, and will be allocated to eligible registrees on a first come, first served basis. The sooner you register, the better your chances of getting a place. Once the course is full, you will be added to a waiting list and the VHS will let you know if a place becomes available.
The HaMoNee project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as part of the 'HAW.International' funding programme, which supports the international competitiveness of applied sciences universities.
