Faculty Sustainability Coordinators
The faculty contacts for sustainability are the Faculty Sustainability Coordinators. Together with the Vice-President for Studies and Teaching and the Sustainability Officer, they form the Sustainability Advisory Committee.

ESD Pioneers
A HEI that is committed to sustainability depends on the strong engagement of its largest group of members – its students. In 2026, our ESD Pioneers are working with the Hamburg Open Online University (HOOU) to develop open educational resources on sustainability. The teaching and learning materials focus on sustainable lifestyles, power relations and resources, and cities and biotopes. Our ESD Pioneers also help to further develop sustainability at HAW Hamburg. They’d love you to get in touch and share your ideas.
