MobiTrust

Project MobileTrust

The MobileTrust project builds on the successful results of the preceding projects TrustedCam and TrustedCamApp, which developed technologies for tamper-proof creation and verification of photo and video recordings. While these technologies were initially developed for use in industrial and governmental environments and later on mobile devices, MobileTrust expands this concept further.

The focus now also includes the authenticity of audio recordings. In this regard, the integrity of the microphone is verified to ensure that audio recordings are unaltered and genuine. This technology is intended to be made available to a wide audience through a user-friendly mobile application.

Additionally, an individual identity profile is created for each mobile device by linking the smartphone's system information to a public blockchain. This guarantees that photos, videos, and audio recordings are authentic and originate from the registered device.

The MobileTrust project significantly contributes to combating misinformation and manipulated content in digital media. It lays the foundation for the secure and transparent use of multimedia content on mobile devices, thereby enabling comprehensive authentication of digital content.
