Workshops & Events
The Centre for Postgraduate Studies at HAW Hamburg offers a wide range of workshops. All doctoral students registered with the Doctoral Centre are eligible to participate. Participation is free of charge. If you would like to participate and are not yet registered with us, simply send us a short, informal email.
We continue to hold most of our workshops online (marked as online seminars). You will receive the link to the respective event shortly (usually within the last 30 minutes) before the start of the event at the email address you provided when registering.

Please check the event language in the event description. Workshops with a German title are offered in German. For workshops with an English title, please refer to the description.
Our partner HRA has a wider range of English-language workshops. Here you can find workshops in English that we do not offer at HAW Hamburg.
Registering for workshops
................................................................................................................................................................................................
You can submit your (binding) registration for workshops using the registration form. The workshops and events* offered by the Graduate Centre are intended exclusively for doctoral students at HAW Hamburg who have already signed a supervision agreement with a supervisor at HAW Hamburg and/or are officially enrolled at HAW Hamburg. The exceptions to this rule are the workshops 'Doctoral studies – Are they right for me?' and 'Doctoral studies – Finding a topic and writing the proposal'. These sessions are also open to those potentially interested in pursuing a PhD (e.g. Master's students/graduates from HAW Hamburg and other universities).
Others interested in attending the workshops and events (academic staff at HAW Hamburg, HAW Hamburg PhD graduates, doctoral students at other universities with a connection to HAW Hamburg) can arrange to do so on an individual basis in consultation with the Graduate Centre if places are available (except for the ongoing 'English for PhD students' workshop).
* Unless they are listed as 'open to all'.
