Single sign-on service

The HAW Hamburg single sign-on (SSO) service makes it possible for you to access various central applications and IT services from HAW Hamburg via a single login process using your HAW account ID and password. You can currently use the SSO service to access the following services:

  • Library services provided by individual publishers
  • The Zoom video conferencing system

To log in, you need to use your new HAW user ID (w...123), which you can also enter without the @haw-hamburg.de extension at the end, unlike when you log in to other online applications (such as MS Office or myHAW).

Please note that the SSO service will only function following a necessary synchronisation of the systems. For students this will take place after 2 May 2023, once you have reset your password. If you are not able to log in to the SSO service, you should first sign out of your MS Office account (www.office.com), then reset your password before you log in again by clicking on 'Forgot password'.

If you are still having problems after doing this, please send a mail to: itsc-support (at) haw-hamburg (dot) de

The SSO service also uses two-step verification. This requires you to use an authenticator app (e.g. from Microsoft), and you will need to set up a new account in the app. Verification via SMS is not possible.

The access manager is available at https://login.haw-hamburg.de.
