Studying abroad – Recognition of credits
Recognition of study credits in the Faculty of Life Sciences
We recommend that students who are planning a semester abroad and would like to have the credit points recognised consult with an advisor and plan accordingly before applying for a study place abroad. Please arrange an appointment with the international coordinator or degree course advisor (see below for contact information) to determine which courses would be suitable. As a next step, you should complete a learning agreement with the coordinator/advisor. This will serve as the legal basis for having your credit points recognised when you return.
If you have already studied at another university in Germany or are returning from a semester abroad and would like to have your credit points recognised, please contact the examinations committee for your degree course to determine which courses you can receive credit for.
Documents required for the credit point assessment process
................................................................................................................................................................................................
Students are required to provide specific documents in order to have credit points from other institutions recognised. You should bring the following documents to your appointment with the chair of the examinations committee:
- Transcript of records
- Module/course descriptions for the subjects you wish to have recognised
