Das internationale Hochschulprojekt „Data Literacy in Context – DaLiCo“ (Erasmus+) findet dieses Jahr seinen Abschluss. Auf dem bevorstehenden Multiplier Event präsentieren die Initiator*innen Projektergebnisse und stellen erfolgreich umgesetzte Konzepte vor. Auf der Basis der Projektergebnisse soll im Rahmen des Events diskutiert werden, wie Datenkompetenz im Hochschulkontext gefördert und vermittelt werden kann. Ideen und Erfahrungen sind herzlich willkommen. Teilnehmer*innen können in Workshops aktiv in die Diskurse mit der nationalen und internationalen Fachcommunity eingebunden werden. Folgende Themen sind hierfür vorgesehen:
- Train-the-Trainer Konzepte für Data Literacy
- Einbindung von Data Literacy in die Curricula
- Data Literacy Summer School-Konzept als Good Practice
- „Open Topic“ – Themenwunsch der Teilnehmer*innen
Mit dem internationalen Hochschulprojekt verfolgen die Macher einen breiten und interdisziplinären Ansatz, der sich an alle Domain- und Datenspezialisten richtet und im Rahmen des Events folgende Zielgruppen adressiert: Lehrende, erfahrene Vermittler*innen und Förderer*innen von Datenkompetenz; akademisches Personal in der Forschungsförderung (z.B. in Bibliotheken) und zukünftige Generationen von Forschenden und Lehrenden.
Die Teilnehmer*innen werden mit neuen Impulsen und Ideen zur Förderung von Datenkompetenz im Rahmen ihrer Lehr- und Vermittlungstätigkeit nach Hause gehen. Schließlich wird das Feedback der Teilnehmer*innen genutzt, um die im Rahmen von DaLiCo erarbeiteten Konzepte zu verbessern.
Das Event ist als eine hybride Veranstaltung geplant und kann sowohl vor Ort, auf dem Kunst- und Mediencampus Hamburg, sowie online besucht werden. Die Tagung findet in englischer Sprache statt. Es werden die zurzeit des Events geltenden COVID-Regelungen beachtet.

Teaching Data Literacy: Experiences from the DaLiCo Project

The international university project 'Data Literacy in Context – DaLiCo' (Erasmus+) comes to an end this year. At the upcoming multiplier event, we would like to take the opportunity to present the project results and to introduce the successfully developed and implemented concepts resulting from it. On the basis of our project results, we would then like to discuss with the event participants how data literacy can be promoted and taught in the university context; we are very interested in your ideas and experiences. In a selection of workshops, we would therefore like to actively involve participants in the discussion with the national and international expert community. The following topics are planned:
- Train-the-trainer concepts for data literacy
- Implementation of data literacy into curricula
- The data literacy summer school concept as good practice
- 'Open topic' – topic requests from the participants
Within our project, we are pursuing a broad and interdisciplinary approach aimed at all domain and data specialists. We will be addressing these target groups in the context of the event:
- Teachers, experienced facilitators and supporters of data literacy
- Academic staff (librarians) who provide research support
- The future generation of researchers and instructors (PhD students)
Participants will leave with new impulses and ideas for promoting data literacy in their teaching and facilitation activities. Finally, the feedback from the participants will be used to improve the concepts developed in DaLiCo. We look forward to your interest and the exchange with you and cordially invite you to join us.
